25 Weeks

Wow! The blog is in desperate need of an update. Sorry for the absence. I'm not even sure how it happened. But, here we are again. Not much has changed since the last set of updates. I am getting bigger (no surprise there) and need to put a picture up but have no good recent ones, so that will have to be another update. The biggest thing that's been happening in the baby department is working on our registries and planning baby showers!! My sister is hosting one (which I am very thankful for and excited about) and then there will also be one at my church. The family/friends one that my sister is hosting is in just a few weeks! I am very excited that one of Steve's Aunts is coming from New Hampshire for the shower! What an exciting time and I am so thankful she is going to be able to make the trip to be there for a special day.

Somehow we ended up with registries at 3 stores. I'm not sure how this happened.. but that's what we have. We are registered at Target, Babies R Us, and Baby Depot. Baby Depot is inside Burlington Coat Factory. It has taken up more time than I ever wanted, but hopefully will help us get everything we need (and then some).

As August has begun and summer is beginning the downward spiral to ending it is strange to think that in a few more months our lives will be completely different. That Lord willing the next time spring and summer begin we will have a baby in our family. That when football season begins I will be pregnant and by the time it ends we should have a baby at home. Crazy! But in a totally awesome, exciting, and scary feeling all at once.

Right now I try mostly to take it one day at a time - considering my body is constantly reminding me to slow down and take it easy - and to keep focused on the present so that I don't miss opportunities that we have now to enjoy this wonderful life that God has blessed us with.

Little Ethan kicks everyday now.. sometimes more, sometimes less. Sometimes he makes my whole belly move, and other times just little kicks I know only mommy is aware of. He kicks a lot after meals (I think he likes hamburgers and bratwurst). I am feeling as good as can be expected. We recently purchased a full body pregnancy pillow which is helping me get more time of good sleep at night.

Thank you to all those who are praying for us and continue to support during this time of change. We appreciate and love each and everyone of you.
